Read the following text and answer the questions that follow:

[su_note note_color=”#f4f043″ text_color=”#010916″]A small portion of the Alipore zoo director’s finger was severed after a chimpanzee bit it on Wednesday afternoon, said officials of the hospital where he was treated.

Asis Kumar Samanta was feeding Babu, the thirty-three year old chimpanzee, when he spotted something like an insect on Babu’s nose and tried to remove it. “But the chimpanzee bit his finger.” said V.K. Yadav, member secretary of the Bengal Zoo Authority.

Samanta was taken to the SSKM Hospital. “A small part of the tip of his left index finger was severed when he came to us. There was a fair amount of bleeding. He needed one stitch and an anti-rabies vaccine. It was not a major wound and should heal soon,” a hospital official said.

This is not the first time Babu had reacted with ferocity while being fed by Samanta. In 2018 February, when Samanta was trying to feed Babu, the chimpanzee had held him by the arms and pulled him closer. The iron bars of the cage separated the two and the director managed to push Babu away to set himself free.[/su_note]

Central Park, February 9: Happy day has started for the book lovers of Kolkata. The annual Calcutta Book Fair has started with the inauguration of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal yesterday. In his inaugural address, the Chief Minister told all the book lovers in Kolkata that the Kolkata Book Fair always has the same taste of nostalgia.

Every year the Guild of Publishers and Booksellers organizes the Calcutta Book Fair in an area allotted to Kolkata by the State Government. Unlike all other years, the venue chosen for this year’s book fair was the Central Park Premises, Salt Lake.

The total number of book stalls this year could exceed 4,000, according to the organizing authority. Renowned writers like Shirshendu Mukherjee and Buddhadev Guha are expected to attend the book fair. In addition to book shops, pleasant cultural programs have been organized at the book fair.

There is also a food court centered on the book fair. This year’s book fair is getting a huge response from the people of Kolkata. Adequate security measures have been taken for the safety and security of the book fair.
