A DEVASTATING FIRE AT DELHI

Birbhum 19th Feb , : At least 60 people died and more than 160 people including woman and children were seriously injured in a devastating fire in a Cinema Hall in Delhi today in the morning . The fire reportedly begun at about 4:00 P.M. due to transformer caught fire . It spread rapidly through out the full Cinema Hall . Many of victims died after jumping from the roof following the fire while other suffered from the suffocation . The injured persons were taken to the Aiims Hospital for necessary medical treatment . They were discharged after the first – aid . The people informed the local police . They already came to the spot and started the rescue operation . The fire brigade were in from and before long they came to the spot . 7 fire brigades brought the fire undercontrol after 2-3 hours of continuous efforts . It was claimed that the property worth about 50lakh and some valuable paper were burned to ashes . A shadow of sadness looms large over the area . The police investagating the case .
The Chief Minister has expressed greif over the tragic accident and annouced ex – gratia payment of 1 lakh is next to the kin for those killed and 50 thousand for those seriously injured .
